Evaluation of learners has been a focal issue in schools for a long time.
R.T.E. act has provided provisions for evaluation of students learning and has led Govt. agencies to prepare evaluation plans to implement in schools.
The C.C.E., Formative and Summative assessment, constructivist learning along with various methods and models of teaching are the current evaluation practices undertaken by various schools.
However, current CCE practices need a serious re-examination as they thwart (to prevent sth/sbd from accomplishing something) other curricular reforms and are not framed according to the goals stated in NCF(2005).
